Bakrid 2009, Id or Eid mubarak sms festival wishes and greetings

Goats is also known as Eid al-Adha “Festival of Sacrifice” or “Greater Eid” on November 28, 2009.Id is a holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. On this occasion, people sacrifice goat as offering to Allah (God). According to the holy book Quran. In the some part of the country, people also sacrifice buffalo and camel. The sacrifice is distributed in three parts. One part is for household use, second one is for family and friends and third one is for poor people.

The Hijrah

No longer safe in Mecca, the Prophet Muhammad, in the year 628 traveled to Medina (lit. the city) with 1400 of his followers. This is considered as the first ‘pilgrimage’ in Islam, seeking to re-establish the religious traditions of the Prophet Ibrahim, as he believed they were originally practiced.
