^1st Republic Day is the testimony for India to be emerging as a world power. It is of late that the west has acknowledged the fact, India has attained the status of a Nation that wields power in the world Dr. Amarjit Singh, Secretary General, Citizens First Inc., USA.

“Developed Country” is a very recent phenomena. 80 years ago, USA was as backward as India is today. Do not forget that brits stole all the wealth from India to develop their own backward island at the expense of India. Indian culture is thousands of years old, the brits history is only a thousand years old. Most of the brits are those who crossed the channel, not locals. We have to fight the traditions of many more generations than the brits. Also, the countries where immigrants are welcomed, it advances due tot cross breeding of culture and effort, which is true with Europe and USA and Australia. India is mainly inbred within the castes, probably married to their seventh genearation cousin without knowing it that would prevent genetic diversity. Now that is changing fortunately. In next 50 years, despite all kinds of progress. India will look like developing country. I hope it retains its charm.
