Thyagaraja Aradhana 2010 festival at Thiruvaiyaru

2010 Carnatic music festival at Thiruvaiyaru, Tamil Nadu. Tyagaraja Aradhna 2010 date is January 5. Many exponents of Carnatic music come to perform and are watched by thousands of ardent fans of Indian classical music. It is associated with the world famous singer and saint Tyagaraja. Thyagaraja is the greatest saint composer of Carnatic music. It is held at Thiruvaiyaru near Thanjavur and is also therefore known as Thiruvaiyaru Thyagaraja Aradhanai.

The festival is observed on the fifth day every year during the Krishna paksha or Pushya Bahula Panchami day when the saint attained samadhi under the auspices of Sri Thyagabrahma Mahotsava Sabha at the saint’s samadhi at Thiruvaiyaru. The 162nd festival was celebrated in 2009.
