Uttaradi Matt is the original seat of Jagadguru Shri Madhvacharya. Before the Kashi Mutt came up, most of the Vaishnava Goud Saraswat Brahmins were followers of Sri UttaradiMutt. During the 15th century, Sri Ramachandra Tirtha of MOOLA MUTH (Jagadguru Sriman Madhwacharya Moola Maha Samsthana) initiated two sishyas to sanyasa – Sree Vibhudendra Teertha and Sri Vidyanidhi Tirta. The latter started a new mutt- Utaradi Mut and became head of the same. Where as Sri Vibhudendra Tirtha continued the Parampara of Sri Ramachandra Teerta which was the main parampara of Sriman Madhwacharya,now known as Sri Raghavendra Mutt(Mantralaya) after Sri Raghavendra of Mantralaya. sri vibhdeendra theertha started another math that is raghavendra swamy math.. Sri Uttaradimath wasnt established by Sri Vidyanidhi theertha it was set up by Lord Hamsa himself.

I feel, it’s above to all our senses that we, the normal humans comment on such a highly divine thing. The apparent victory of Vidyanidhi is due to real higher kaksha or status of him after chaturmukha brahma! God’s Intention was not to make defeat of him before his junior in order. They both are just like brothers, Brothers of kind Krishna and balarama, who are in reverse order in their birth order wen compared to their orifginal strengths. Thus both are branches of same family, none superior! perhaps, God’s feeling was that if he diverted the channel, more number of good people would join, the work done by 1 saint was then distributed to two! It’s a general logic and common sense! Some highly gifted soul can only reveal the facts. IF WE LIVE TILL THE PERIOD, WE’LL SEE, WHY TO MAKE FILTHY COMMENTS SO AS TO GAIN PAAPA AND GO TO HELL. WE ARE ALL DISCIPLES OF MADHVACHARYA! DID YOU FORGET? EH?
