, or Dates in 2010 Calendar. Pitru Paksha of 14-day Hindu celebration begins today, which is an annual celebration honoring ancestors.

PitruPaksha also spelt as Pitr paksha or Pitri paksha, (literally “fortnight of the ancestors”) is a 16–lunar day period when Hindus pay homage to their ancestors (Pitrs), especially through food offerings. PitruPaksha is considered by Hindus to be inauspicious, given the death rite performed during the ceremony, known as Shraddha or tarpan. In southern and western India, it falls in the Hindu lunar month of Bhadrapada (September–October).

  10. Oct 3rd, 2010 – Dasami Shradh
  11. Oct 4th, 2010 – Ekadashi Shradh and Dwadashi Shradh
  12. Oct 5th, 2010 – Trayodashi Shradh

    reasons result and methods about the get relief from varous types of problems caused by PITRA DOSHAS. with regards yours, h v sharma.

    I would like to know the basics & the dates & prefereable palces of the Shradhas.
    My borther passed away in 24 November 2007. We are doing the rituals only @ home by brahmin on the star day (Karthikai Full moon day). I would like to know the rituals to be done by his son & me.
    PLEASE HELP ME TO KNOW THE RITUALS.
