in Bengaluru, Ayuda puja 2010. On this day, Bangaloreans worship the tools, vehicles, electrical appliances or instruments that are used in their occupation.

On this special day Bangaloreans seek blessings by offering pooja to tools, machinery and vehicles it is like a promise that Almighty gives us that he will keep us safe. On the day of Ayudha pooja all the implements that are part of ones occupation, such as machines, vehicles, tools etc are cleaned properly, polished and decorated. They are smeared with sandalwood paste (tilaka) and turmeric paste. Flowers are offered. In Karnataka, the celebration is for killing of the demon king Mahishasura by goddess Chamundeshwari. After slaying of the demon king, the weapons were kept out for worship. While Navaratri festival is observed all over the country but in South Indian states, where it is widely celebrated as Ayudha Puja, there are slight variations of worship procedure.
