Sankranti festival Day 4 is celebrated on the name of Mukkanuma in Andhra Pradesh. Kanuma is believed that Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan hill to protect the people of Gokulam on this day. Mukkanuma is celebrated on the day after Kanuma and is primarily a day of feasting and merry making.In Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna asked the Gokul people to worship the Govardhan hill, which blocked the clouds and provided rain.
