Jewish festival of Hanukkah with the 6th annual celebration of the Koder House is brought to Kochiites a chance to experience what it means to be part of Jewish customs. The festivities will begin at 7 pm with the lighting of the Hanukkah Menorah (a candelabrum with eight branches) followed by the singing of traditional Hanukkah song. New candles will be lit daily on all eight days.

Hanukkah is the eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean uprising of the 2nd century BC. It is a festival alongside the absorption and repression of the Jewish religion.

The record of debate pertaining to Jewish law states that at the rededication of the temple after the uprising there was only enough holy oil left to burn in the temple Menorah for one day. But it burnt for eight days until the new oil was sacred.

The holiday was confirmed to celebrate the miracle of the oil and the durability of Jewish religion. According to the Hebrew calendar, the festival is observed for eight nights, starting on the 25th day of Kislev. This year, it will begin on Tuesday night and continue till December 27. Koder House, the restored residence of one of Kochi’s famed businessmen, S Koder, is keeping the ancient tradition of Jews in one piece.

Nearby with the locals, Jewish tourists also get hold of in the festival and put in more dignity and lavishness to the celebrations. Elders get ready with Jewish dishes, children acquire the best gifts and adults have the most excellent times together with family and friends.

Kochi has been known for the enormous Jewish inhabitants in the city. This year too, everyone is celebrating this festival which adds more richness to the approaching Christmas. Teacher’s Day speech is all about to pay tribute to the teachers, catch here special read on to explore Teachers Day speech tips. Teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th of September every year throughout the country.

Speech

An accomplished teacher is not someone who just minds his/her duty with the teaching job by explaining academic lessons to his/her students. A true teacher will act as guide and director, who helps the students in each and every step of life, by giving the most ideal advice. A good student will be good quick learner and all the credit and full marks will be deserved by the Teacher. As they are the future makers. No one in the world has achieved a great desired goal with the help of a perfect teacher and has attained a feat without the guidance of a teacher. Teacher’s Day is a great opportunity to wish my all teachers for guiding to the right direction and making me successful, and it this speech is my acknowledgement to all my teachers who have contributed their brilliant thought for me.

If you want to make this day super for your teachers also, try to deliver a speech in their honor, exploring their importance on the life of students.

It is the birthday [5 September 1888 ],of the second President of India, academic philosopher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. It is considered a “celebration” day, where teachers and students report to school as usual but the usual activities and classes are replaced by activities of celebration, thanks and remembrance. At some schools on this day, the responsibility of teaching is taken up by the senior students to show appreciation for their teachers.

“Teaching is not a lost art, but the regard for it is a lost tradition.” -Jacques Barzun
“Good teachers are costly, but bad teachers cost more.” -Bob Talbert
“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” -Henry Brooks Adams
“Those who educate children well are more to be honored than parents, for these only gave life, those the art of living well.” -Aristotle
“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be ignited.” –Plutarch

We will always be thankful to you for all the hard work and
efforts you have put in, for educating us.

——————————————————————
Thanks for being a true mentor of our hearts.
Happy Teachers day

The Award for
the most wonderful teacher
has been declared
and
it goes to You.
Wishing you a very Happy Teachers day!

Honesty, perhaps in situations where it may be difficult for others to speak the truth, especially in terms of pointing out the perceived faults of one’s counterpart
Mutual understanding and compassion
Trust in one another (able to express feelings – including in relation to the other’s actions – without the fear of being judged); able to go to each other for emotional support
Positive reciprocity – a relationship is based on equal give and take between the two parties.

Friendship is a little more trust,
A little less try,
A little more laugh,
And a little less cry,
A little more WE and a little less I.

Happy Friendship Day!!!

If friendship is live – keep smiling
If CARE is a WAVE,
I’ll give u SEA.
If RESPECT is a LEAF,
I’ll give u TREE.
If TRUST is a PLANET,
I’ll give u GALAXY,
if FRIENDSHIP is LIFE,
I’ll give u MINE 4 FREE..
keep smiling.

Friendship is like Airtel
Love is DOCOMO,
do the new.

Marriage is IDEA
can change ur life.

Wife is HUTCH
where ever you
But Friendship is Airtel
ek atut bandhan

With my 1 Heart…2 eyes.
With my
1 Heart…

The exchange of Friendship Day Gifts like flowers, cards and wrist bands is a popular tradition of this occasion. Initially created by the greeting cards industry, evidence from social networking sites shows a revival of interest in the holiday that may have grown with the spread of the Internet, particularly in India, Bangladesh, and Malaysia.
